An exhibition marking the 35th anniversary of the
establishment of the institution of the presidency has opened in Astana. It
features unique documents, rare photographs, and valuable items from museum,
archive, and library collections, allowing visitors to explore significant
milestones along this path. The materials on display include documents from the
President’s Office and the Central Election Commission, as well as diplomatic
gifts presented to the head of state. Notable exhibits include the Declaration
of State Sovereignty and the Constitutional Law on the Independence of Kazakhstan.
A total of 100 items are showcased. The exhibition took three months to prepare
and will run until May 17 at the Presidential Center.
«I believe it is extremely important to view these documents
adopted during that period. As philosophers say, a country that does not know
its history has no future. This exhibition helps preserve crucial information—through
documentary materials—that is essential both for us and for future
generations,» said Igor Rogov, Chairman of the Human Rights Commission under
the President of Kazakhstan.
