Cubism, surrealism, abstract art, and
impressionism - works spanning a variety of modernist styles were showcased at
an exhibition in the capital of Turkmenistan. The organizers noted that
preparations for the event had been underway for the past five months. The
participants include not only professional artists but also students from the
Academy of Fine Arts. They will have the opportunity to attend masterclasses
led by renowned artists of the country. Notably, all the works on display were
created specifically for this exhibition, with the artists completing them over
a period of one to two months.
«I have brought six of my works, one of which is
titled «Hunters». The painting is named this way because it depicts two young
men competing in archery, surrounded by hunting scenes. The main theme of the
artwork is the pursuit of a goal. I used warm shades of color with subtle
touches of black in the composition,» shared
artist Gakhryman Gochmuradov.
«Today, I joined this exhibition because I am
interested in your paintings and artists. So, I will enjoy tonight your
paintings very much,» noted Sasaki Hiroshi, Japanese Ambassador to
Turkmenistan.
