The development of digital technologies in
Eurasia was the focus of an international forum in Uzbekistan. Over two days,
500 delegates, including leading experts and representatives of major global
companies, gathered in Tashkent to discuss the prospects and opportunities of
artificial intelligence, 5G and next-generation networks, digital innovation,
and the overall advancement of the telecommunications industry. The forum also
addressed the role of data centers in ensuring stable and secure connectivity, as
well as new digital solutions and partnership opportunities. Experts exchanged
ideas, technologies, and experiences, noting that such collaboration contributes
to accelerating digital transformation across the region.
«In recent years, there has been significant
growth in mobile internet coverage, both in quality and accessibility. This
has, in turn, fueled the rapid development of the IT sector and an increase in the
number of specialists in the field. Our goal is to attract international remote
services to the country, giving the younger generation access to high-income
professions. Hosting events like GSMA 360 helps strengthen the country’s
position as a regional IT hub,» noted Minister of Digital Technologies of
Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov.
«The issues to be discussed here at the
meeting of the heads of communications administrations of the Regional
Commonwealth in the field of Communications (RCC) are clearly aimed at
improving the sector across all countries of the region. Topics under
consideration include information security, the use of satellite orbits and
non-geostationary satellites, as well as frequency allocation within the
countries of our region,» said Sa’dullo Isfandiyori, Head of the Communications
Service under the Government of Tajikistan.
The speakers are confident that holding the
international forum on digital technologies will give impetus to the signing of
new international agreements, boost investment interest, and promote the
development of IT education and the high-tech sector.
