Kazakhstan can effectively cooperate with Armenia in the field of electricity. The corresponding amendments to the Treaty on the EAEU were adopted today in the Senate. Thus, Armenia joined the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union in cooperation in the field of electricity. Within the protocol, some changes were made to the Methodology for interstate transmission of electricity, including tariff policy and pricing. The protocol has been approved by Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
“The law has been passed. Dear colleagues, today electricity occupies a special place in building the potential of the economy. We hope that this law will have a positive impact on the development of cooperation in the energy sector of the member countries of the organization", said Maulen Ashimbayev, chairperson, Senate of Kazakh Parliament.
