Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held
a telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al
Thani. They discussed the current state and prospects for strengthening
bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian
spheres. Special attention was given to the effective implementation of
agreements reached during the Kazakh President’s state visit to Qatar in
February of this year. The Heads of State confirmed their mutual commitment to
further enhancing multifaceted cooperation between the two countries. President
Tokayev noted that he hopes to meet with the Qatari Emir during the upcoming
SCO summit in Astana.
