«He
translated numerous works from Kazakh into Hungarian, ranging from Kazakh folk
literature to the famous works of Abai and Abish Kekilbayev. He undertook an
enormous amount of linguistic work and also published numerous works on
Turkology. He maintained friendly relations with figures such as Olzhas
Suleimenov, Chingiz Aitmatov, and Rasul Gamzatov, and engaged with the public and
creative intellectuals. This is what I write about in my book,» said writer
Marzhan Yershu.
