President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed prospects
for cooperation in gas processing and petrochemicals with Eduardo Menezes,
Chief Executive Officer of the US company Air Products. Tokayev noted that the
United States is one of Kazakhstan’s key economic partners, and that the
country is interested in expanding mutually beneficial ties. In turn, Menezes
said that the company is considering investing in Kazakhstan’s economy. In
particular, Air Products has expressed interest in developing projects in gas
processing, petrochemicals, and deep coal processing. Notably, the company is
among the global leaders in natural gas processing and industrial gas
production.
