Coalition members meet with Mangystau region residents

The National Coalition, led by Mazhilis Chairman Yerlan Koshanov, visited the Mangystau region. During a meeting with local residents, Koshanov noted the region’s significant industrial potential and emphasized that long-standing issues have been addressed through the adoption of a Comprehensive Plan developed at the instruction of the Head of State. In the coming years, 55 investment projects are set to be implemented in the region across manufacturing, logistics, tourism, and agriculture, with a total value estimated at 10 trillion tenge. The gas processing plant under construction in Zhanaozen has significant production potential. Koshanov also addressed the provisions of the draft new Constitution, stressing that the proposed amendments lay a solid foundation for equal opportunities and the country’s continued development.

«At the core of these steps are the ideas of Justice, Equality, and Unity. Law and Order are being strengthened. These concepts have become our fundamental values and guiding principles, activating public consciousness. The new Constitution is a natural continuation and outcome of this systemic work. Therefore, the articles aimed at shaping the country’s future, the values reflected in the preamble, and the principles born from society’s demands - all of this comes from the Head of State’s long years of reflection and resonates with the voice of the people,» said Yerlan Koshanov, Chairman of the Mazhilis, the Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament.

During a meeting with the region’s industrial workers, including oil workers, particular attention was paid to environmental issues. The relevance of enshrining environmental protection in the Constitution was specifically emphasized.  Workers also highlighted the importance of the right to decent work and safe working conditions.

«As an oil industry professional, I observe that the status of workers is rising and the protection of their rights is being strengthened. We are witnessing real, tangible changes. In particular, Article 3, paragraph 2 of the new Constitution places special emphasis on priorities such as the development of human capital, science, and education, which are vital for the country’s future and reflect the people’s interests. The referendum provides a truly open platform where the voice of the nation can be heard. Therefore, we consider all these initiatives timely and appropriatesaid Argynbek Kalbayev, specialist at Ozenmunaigas’ External and Internal Communications Department.
