The
Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions is an opportunity not
only to discuss current challenges, but also to jointly determine ways to solve
them. According to Kazakhstan’s religious communities, in times of rapid
technological changes, preserving spiritual guidelines is of particular
importance. At the same time, modern developments, including artificial
intelligence (AI), can become a tool for promoting humanistic values.
«A believer
does not reject the achievements of science. What matters is that these
achievements, including AI, serve the benefit of people. Cooperation in
science, education, and moral enlightenment can become another unifying factor.
Speaking about Kazakhstan’s example and the significance of the congress of
religious leaders, we need to ensure that its decisions are carried forward to
every country and religious community,» noted
Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan.
Representatives
of Kazakhstan’s religious confessions note that the promotion of spiritual
values among youth today is particularly important, as the new generation shapes
the world’s future. This year, the congress will also include a forum of young
religious leaders, which will become an official part of the event for the
first time.
«This time I really liked the concept –
not dry reports, but live communication, open discussions, and an open
microphone. Despite differences in theology – in views on God, salvation, or
other matters – we are united by one goal: to raise a worthy generation,» said Rostislav
Novgorodov, Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kazakhstan.
