The manuscript «Chronicle of Khans» has
been added to the UNESCO Memory of the World Register during the 221st session
of the Executive Board in Paris. The artifact highlights the roots of the
rulers of the Kazakh steppes, offering insights into their origins and
relations with other nations. The document, a scroll over three meters long,
was written in the 18th century by an unknown author in the Chagatai language. The
UNESCO register also includes the manuscript collection of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi,
audiovisual materials from the Nevada-Semei international anti-nuclear
movement, and archival records concerning the Aral Sea.
