The industrial park, home to about 140 enterprises, plays a significant role in this development. In his state-of-the-nation address, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the need to strengthen economic drivers. Key priorities include investment, industrial development, and entrepreneurship, with a focus on producing high value-added goods that are competitive both in domestic and international markets.

«We have two front offices that support each investor from application to project commissioning, including those in manufacturing. These are the Astana Development Center and the City Investment Development Center. Last year, under the mayor’s leadership, a regional investment headquarters was also established within the mayor’s office to address the issues faced by each investor,» noted Nurzhan Ashimov, Head of the Department at Astana Investment and Entrepreneurship Development Department.

Domestic enterprises are moving toward import substitution. A clear example is the production of aluminum profiles and fiber cement panels. These materials are widely used in the construction of residential buildings, social facilities, and other structures. Another advantage of the enterprise is that its products are made entirely from domestic raw materials, which allows for significant cost reductions.

«We have completely eliminated the use of imported materials. For example, a fiber cement plant has opened in the city of Semei, and we process its materials at our factory,» said Maksat Sadvakassov, General Director of the industrial enterprise.
