The Astana Media Week forum has kicked off in the Kazakh capital, bringing together media industry professionals, international platforms, and government representatives. This year’s event features speakers and experts from leading international and national media outlets across Central Asia, Europe, Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, and China. The program includes a series of panel discussions and dialogue sessions. One of the key sessions, held on the first of the forum’s three days, focused on the role of digitalization and artificial intelligence technologies in shaping the future of journalism. In addition, the forum’s media platform is hosting hands-on workshops covering a wide range of specialized topics and disciplines.
«One of the main themes is digital media. Today,
traditional and digital media should not compete but rather collaborate to
further develop the domestic media industry. The program also includes a series
of masterclasses, including sessions for press secretaries on crisis
communications and workshops on the proper use of the Kazakh language in
writing articles and producing stories. In addition, there will be
masterclasses for documentary filmmakers,» said Bibigul Kulaman, member of the Astana Media Week
organizing committee.
