AI projects by Kazakh scientists presented at Digital Bridge

Kazakhstan is developing its own technologies in the field of artificial intelligence. At the Digital Bridge exhibition in Astana, the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) presented its products. These domestic developments are already helping to address practical challenges. Among them is MangiSoz, a service designed for speech translation and synthesis in five languages: Kazakh, Russian, English, Turkish, and Chinese. All data uploaded to the application are processed and stored within the country, ensuring a high level of security. In addition, the Institute is working on other projects, prioritizing the digitalization of services and the development of applied AI tools for citizens and businesses.

«We have Oylan, an AI model similar to ChatGPT, trained on Kazakh-language data and datasets from Kazakhstan. It can be used in healthcare institutions to obtain a doctor’s second opinion. The model can process text, images, and audio tracks. The product will continue to evolve. Another of our products is Beynele, an AI image generator. Our flagship product, released relatively recently, is TilSync - an application that allows users to receive real-time subtitles in three languages: Kazakh, Russian, and English,» said Amina Baikenova, Acting Deputy Director of Product and External Affairs at ISSAI.
