Over 250 small grants have been allocated this year to support youth initiatives in Kazakhstan. As part of the project, each participant will be able to receive up to one million tenge. Zhas Project is aimed at empowering young Kazakh citizens. The funds will be used for the implementation of social ideas, as well as for education and support from mentors. People aged 18 to 29 can take part in the small grants’ competition. Application submission is open until August 10. A significant part of the projects will be implemented in Mangystau region.
“Contestants need to register on our website and submit their applications. Priority is given to young people from vulnerable segments of the population. The projects’ implementation requires three months. Participants will receive advisory assistance from mentors who are selected on a competitive basis. They have the required experience of working in the social sphere, as well as dealing with youth,” head of the youth public association Nauryzbek Magdatov said.
