Experts from the Kazhydromet national weather service predicted high yields of maize and sugar beet in Kazakhstan this year. According to the crop forecasts for 2023, agricultural producers of the Zhetisu, Almaty, Zhambyl and Turkistan regions will see the largest maize and sugar beet yields. Farmers growing wheat and sunflower are also expected to enjoy a fruitful year. Crop yields in the Kostanai, Aktobe, North, East and West Kazakhstan regions are projected to be higher as well.
