Youth robotics competition held in Turkmenistan

A youth robotics competition was held in Ashgabat, bringing together over 250 talented designers from across Turkmenistan. The youngest participant was just seven years old. Regardless of their age group or the complexity of the tasks, participants demonstrated skills in design, programming, and innovative technologies. The festival featured competitions in four categories, including sumo robots, line-following robots, maze-solving robots, and team projects. As experts noted, the festival is an important event for young engineers, providing them with the opportunity to showcase their talents and continue advancing in the field. Additionally, such events help foster a new generation of professionals capable of solving the most ambitious technological challenges.

«Interest in robotics and, of course, artificial intelligence is growing increasingly among young people and schoolchildren each year. The festival became a platform for participants to exchange experiences and acquire new knowledge and skills,» said Mergen Amanov, a specialist at the Innovative Research Center.

«I participated in a team event with two other members. We took third place with a time of 22 seconds. We spent two weeks preparing the robot,» said Mekan Rejepov, a student at the International Oil and Gas University.
