Kazakhstan prepares for military parade

A large field camp has been set up on the outskirts of the Kazakh capital. Participants in the military parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory have arrived there for preparation. The servicemen undergo intensive training every day, synchronizing every step perfectly on the parade ground. A total of 4,000 servicemen, 200 of whom are women, will participate in the parade. The selection was based on professional training, military bearing, and physical fitness.

«The most distinguished, professionally trained, and physically fit servicemen have arrived. Bearing and height played a significant role in their selection. The first stage will feature a historical column, in which we will carry through the main square the battle flags of divisions and brigade regiments that were formed on the territory of our country. The second stage will showcase the modern part of our Parade, and the third will be the aerial part,» noted Mereke Kuchekbayev, Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.

Additionally, the parade will feature over 300 combat vehicles, ranging from modern models to legendary military armored vehicles. Here, too, everything is worked out down to the smallest detail. A Soviet T-34 tank, a participant in historical battles, will head the column, followed by T-72s, tracked BMP-2s, artillery, and special transport. At the repair point, mechanics carefully inspect each equipment unit, checking the serviceability of engines, electronics, and weapons.

The field camp has over 200 tents, supply points, field baths, a field hospital, and a kitchen where national dishes are prepared. In short, everything has been arranged to ensure the servicemen’s comfortable stay and successful preparation for the spectacular event.

«Everything is well arranged here. The tents are well-equipped and heated, with two stoves installed. We wake up at 6 a.m., and after breakfast, we receive our gear and weapons, followed by full training sessions until lunchtime. Training continues in the afternoon as well. We also have free time. There’s a guitar, a dombyra, checkers, togyzkumalak, and books available,» said the participant of the Victory parade Dmitry Makarov.

A military parade is scheduled for May 7 at the Kazakh Eli Monument in Astana.
