The results of an art competition were announced in the
capital of the Kyrgyz Republic. Artists presented over 230 works in various categories,
including fine arts, decorative and applied arts, sculpture, and graphics.
According to the organizers, the competition featured artists of various ages,
with the oldest participant being 90 years old. The artworks reflected the
history of the independent country and depicted prominent figures who played
significant roles in establishing Kyrgyz statehood. The younger generation
showcased their ceramic works made from natural clay, including 20-year-old
Aidana Beishenbayeva, a National Academy of Arts student.
«These are ceramic vases that I created over a period of
about five months. The process begins with developing an idea and making
sketches, and only then does the actual work start. I prepare the clay and then
create patterns that hold specific meanings. They are ethnic Kyrgyz patterns,
which were once part of our language. These are our letters, and I specifically
used them along with patterns symbolizing wind, water, and waves,» shared Aidana
Beishenbayeva, student of the National Academy of Arts.
