Modern musical works on Kazakh national musical instruments and unique arrangements for folk compositions. Such a rich repertoire is performed by the first ethnic ensemble at the Kalibek Kuanyshbayev Kazakh State Academic Musical Drama Theatre. It includes 18 musicians. Each of them can play several instruments. Moreover, all members of the ethnic ensemble are laureates of Kazakh and international competitions. They are planning to popularize Kazakh folk music.
“Each of them is a creative person with a great musical background. We have the so-called mobile young team. There are many talented, creative and ambitious guys who, as they say, are very active and love to make creative works,” said Maralzhan Myrzakulova, conductor, ensemble of folk instruments.
