In Kazakhstan, Tumar National Television Award opens submission of applications. Since the beginning of March, TV journalists from all over the country have been submitting their stories, programs, projects and documentaries to the competition. As before, both national and regional channels, as well as private companies producing TV content can participate. All works that were on air in 2020 are accepted.
“Tumar National Сompetition is held this year for the fifth time. Applications are accepted from March 1 to April 1. All professional journalists working in media can send their applications. The jury, which includes leading specialists in the field and professional experts, will determine the winners at the end of April. This year, at the Tumar National Competition, journalists will compete for prizes in 10 nominations,” said Bibigul Kulaman, Organizing Committee Representative.
In addition to the usual nominations, this year the organizers will introduce a new one, but they’re keeping the details secret for the time being. The winners of the competition, together with the coveted Tumar statuette, will receive 1 million tenge. Due to quarantine measures, this time the award ceremony will be held in a closed format.
