A visitor center will
be built in the Bozzhyra tract in the Mangystau region, designed to receive up
to 40,000 tourists annually. Constructed from lightweight prefabricated
structures that require no massive foundation, the center will integrate
bio-treatment systems, waste sorting, and solar energy. Its elevation will
range from 400 to 1,000 meters, depending on the terrain, ensuring minimal
environmental impact. The project also includes glampings decorated in a
national style, a museum, observation platforms, and a teahouse in the upper
part of the gorge. Additional tourist facilities will be developed at the foot
of Bozzhyra, all aimed at preserving and promoting the Kazakh culture.
«If Bozzhyra and
Caspian coastal areas are developed as tourist destinations, the Mangystau
region could be on a par with Türkiye. Our country needs a strong tourism
sector,» said Tilekshi Myrzagaliyeva, resident of the Mangystau region.
«Mangystau residents
support such initiatives that will make a positive impact on the tourism
development. The beauty of our region is globally recognized for its unique
nature,» shared Amanzhol Tasmagambetov, another resident of the Mangystau
region.
A domestic company,
which has built visitor centers in the Almaty region at Charyn, Kolsai, and
Ayusai, will oversee the project. Completion is
expected by the end of 2026.
