Young actors of the Sintez search and experimental theater presented their interpretation of Abai’s Words of Edification, along with portraying the great poet and philosopher himself. On stage, he emerges as both a righteous man and a showman. The author’s intention to depart from the conventional depiction of Abai aims to facilitate a deeper and easier understanding of the enduring values, appeals, and insights conveyed by the poet in his fundamental work for the youth of the 21st century. Notably, this creative team has been captivating art enthusiasts since 2021 with its unique productions. Presently, the theater’s repertoire comprises approximately 10 plays inspired by works from both domestic and international authors. Each of these productions results from creative experimentation with genres, forms, and methods of conveying information to the audience.
“We work in a search-experimental
framework, staging classical plays and other performances in a unique format.
Overall, we strive for evolution in our performances. We seek to blend
classical and modern drama, aiming to find synthesis. As part of our efforts to
promote our theater, we will be inviting additional directors and attracting
more professional actors,” Mukhtar Dungeshov, artistic director of the Sintez
Theater, said.
