US magazine ‘The National Interest’ publishes article of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev

‘We choose to accelerate rather than to stagnate,’ President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev assured in his article published the day before in the reputable US magazine ‘The National Interest’. The article entitled ‘Turbulence Across Eurasia Will Not Slow Kazakhstan’s Progress’ highlights the current challenges facing the country, and reveals the logic of the far-reaching reforms proposed by the President and announced in the address to the people of Kazakhstan. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wrote that they are primarily aimed at the solution of the economic and social issues raised by compatriots. Kazakhstan is entering a new era of democratic transformation, the President also said. In fact, this country will shift from a ‘super-presidential’ to a ‘normative presidential’ model of government, the author emphasized.
