US$232.5 million to be allocated for indexation of pensions and social payments

Kazakhstan will spend 110 billion tenge (US$232.5 million) on indexation of pensions and social payments. This decision was made during the refinement of the budget for 2022. In addition, the transfer from the national fund will increase to four trillion tenge (US$8.4 billion). There were also changes in expectations for the revenue part of the state treasury due to the increase in oil prices. Its average annual cost is set at US$90 per barrel, instead of US$74. As for the overall growth of the country's economy, experts estimate that due to the difficult political situation in neighboring countries, it will slow down to almost two percent, instead of the expected four.
