Starting in 2026, Kazakhstan will launch a unified registry
of domestic manufacturers. This digital platform will contain comprehensive
information about the country’s enterprises and the products they produce. The
database will serve as a tool for identifying actual manufacturers. Notably,
unscrupulous companies will not be allowed into the registry. All others will
be included automatically, and state-owned companies will give purchasing
priority to those listed. Furthermore, large enterprises will be eligible for
government support only if they create a network of small and medium-sized
businesses around them and develop a domestic value program.
«As a result, import and production costs will decrease,
leading to increased competitiveness and demand for domestically produced goods.
Developing domestic value involves not only establishing new industries, but
also transferring new technologies, advancing science, creating new jobs, and building
new competencies. This approach will positively impact the country’s export
potential, support economic diversification, and contribute to higher
employment and improved public well-being,» noted Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
