Turkish doctor saves child from Kazakhstan, receives award

Member of Turkish Parliament and Doctor Recep Seker who saved a child from Kazakhstan received an award on behalf of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The miraculous rescue of the little Kazakh baby on board of a plane was in March. During the flight from Bishkek to Istanbul, one of the twins suffered a heart attack. Fortunately, the personal doctor of Turkish President was on the same plane. He gave the baby artificial respiration and heart massage, after which the child began to breathe. The plane landed urgently in Ankara, where the baby was taken to a hospital.

“We keep in touch with the child’s family. We even got a video a few days ago. He grew up and got better, which is great. This case shows the fraternal and friendly relations between our countries. I would like to thank the President of Kazakhstan for the attention shown to me,” said Dr. Seker.
