Turkic World exhibition held at UN Headquarters in Geneva

The Exhibition of the Turkic World took place at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva. It showcased cultural artifacts, handicrafts, photographs, and paintings by renowned artists from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey. The exhibition, demonstrating the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Turkic civilizations and their historical contributions, was held as part of the Turkic Week. The event brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations. It bears noting that the cultural program included conferences, photo exhibitions, and a concert featuring artistic ensembles from the Turkic world.

“The decision to launch the Turkic Week program was made last year following discussions with member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) at the UN Office in Geneva. The instruction to organize the event was given by the Heads of State of the OTS countries during a summit in Astana last November. The Turkic Week program serves to reinforce this vision, fostering greater cohesion and mutual understanding among member states. We will be having more Turkic Weeks in different cities of the world in the future,” said Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States.
