Trade unions support Kazakh President’s reforms at congress in Astana

The Kazakh Federation of Trade Unions (KFTU) expressed its support for the reforms of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during its 27th Congress. Delegates paid special attention to the involvement of trade unions in implementing the “Listening State” сoncept and their contribution to fostering public dialogue. Participants also highlighted the importance of the President’s initiative to declare 2025 the Year of Working Professions. This decision aims to enhance the prestige of manual labor and support professional growth. Following the Congress, the Strategy for the Federation of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan for the period until 2030 was approved. The organization currently unites around two million members and 24 sectoral trade unions.
