Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received
Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission
(EEC), who briefed him on key areas of the Commission’s work and on the
implementation of Kazakhstan’s priorities during its 2026 EEC chairmanship. The
Head of State was also informed about the completion of work on a Joint
Statement by the member states of the integration bloc on the responsible
development of artificial intelligence within the EAEU. In addition, Sagintayev
reported on preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Supreme Eurasian
Economic Council and the 5th Eurasian Economic Forum, scheduled for May 28-29
in Astana.
