The third Young Leaders Forum of the Turkic Council was held in the Kyrgyz city of Osh. Delegations from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan talked about the development of young people, as well as about the preservation of the spiritual and traditional heritage. The forum participants especially welcomed the initiative of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to create prerequisites for the development of youth potential. In addition, representatives of the youth structures of the Assemblies of the Peoples of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan held a separate meeting. Kyrgyz leaders were interested in our universities and the appropriate education they offer. It was suggested to hold an educational fair. The parties agreed to hold more meetings and work closer, including in the online format.
“Today the competitiveness of our society depends particularly on how educated our citizens will be. And as Kazakh President said, the quality of higher and secondary education should be improved. Specific instructions were given to the government and parliament of Kazakhstan to develop a legislative framework and make the decisions that will contribute to the creation of a competitive environment in the field of higher education,” said Timur Jumurbayev, Head of Zharasym Youth Organization.
“Issues of cooperation in the social sphere, information, educational and volunteer spheres were discussed. We raised various problems and outlined the importance of holding an online conference and already within the online conference talk about the specific projects that will be implemented,” said Anar Gassymov, deputy chairman, Youth Wing under Kyrgyz Ethnic Assembly.
