In his traditional January interview,
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev outlined the key political priorities for 2025,
as stated by State Counselor Erlan Karin during an extended meeting of the
Academic Council of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies (KazISS) in Astana.
According to Karin, KazISS, as the country’s primary think tank, is a key actor
in fostering international partnerships with foreign analytical institutions.
He also underscored the institute’s responsibility in clarifying the nation’s
foreign and domestic policy goals and objectives to both the expert community
and the general public. Karin highlighted KazISS’s leading role in providing
expert and analytical support for state policy, particularly in drafting
proposals for regional development, advancing economic reforms, analyzing
global geopolitical trends, and addressing other significant and in-demand areas.
