Sessions of National Kurultai working sections held in Astana

The sessions of the National Kurultai (Congress) working sections were held in Astana. The implementation progress of the initiatives and proposals from the members of the consultative and advisory body was discussed. The recommendations covered areas such as strengthening and consolidating civil society, protecting human rights, cultural and spiritual development, and addressing social issues. As noted by the Deputy Chairman of the National Kurultai and Kazakh State Counsellor Erlan Karin, the key directions for this year’s work were outlined by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his January interview with the Ana Tili newspaper, as well as in his speech at an extended government meeting. The significance of the ongoing reforms in the country was also emphasized.

«Last year alone, over 100 schools were built. The status of scientists, teachers, and doctors is methodically being strengthened in society, and the prestige of working professions is rising. Special attention is being given to the systematic support of youth, the development of mass sports, and the creative industry. Major projects are being implemented in the energy and agriculture sectors. This is yet another testament to the effective interaction between the state and society,» Karin noted.
