Trade, investment, digitalization, energy, and
agriculture were the main areas of cooperation discussed at the first meeting
of heads of government of the Organization of Turkic States in Bishkek. The
event was attended by the Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic,
Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan, as well as the Vice President of Türkiye. Prime
Minister Olzhas Bektenov highlighted the constructive policies of the Heads of State,
which in a short period of time have turned the Organization into an
authoritative structure on the global stage. The parties also discussed the
mechanisms of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkic States,
the Turkic Investment Fund, and the Green Finance Council. The participants emphasized
the importance of strengthening transport and logistics ties and modernizing
the infrastructure of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. They further
exchanged views on cooperation in science, including the establishment of joint
research centers on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
