Second repatriation flight lands in Kazakhstan

The second flight carrying Kazakh citizens evacuated from Ukraine arrived in Kazakhstan yesterday evening. The repatriation flight operated by the domestic airline Air Astana landed at the airport in Nur-Sultan. A total of 124 citizens returned to their homeland.

“We’re fine. We’ve safely arrived, and that’s all that matters. Everything else is secondary, and I don’t want to think about it. All we want now is just to get home and rest,” a passenger said.

“The road from Kryvyi Rih took five hours. Then, when the evacuation to Lviv began, I arrived at the Kazakh Embassy. We were received and placed in an organized manner. They arranged evacuation through the city of Katowice in Poland. I haven’t watched the news lately, but when I left, there were fights everywhere,” another passenger shared.

The first repatriation flight carrying 175 passengers had previously arrived in Almaty. It was reported that the domestic carrier will make a total of three flights.
