Members of the
Senate, the Upper House of the Kazakh Parliament, returned the draft law on
child payments from the National Fund. The document was sent back for revision
to the Mazhilis with 10 clarifying amendments. It is worth noting that the main
purpose of the bill is to support the younger generation. The government will
transfer money savings to special accounts for children. Upon reaching the age
of 18, the funds can be used to improve living conditions or pursue education.
“The initiative on
fair distribution of national income is a significant step towards the
formation of a Just Kazakhstan. The amendments introduced by the Senate are
aimed at further enhancing specific provisions of the document. Overall, we
believe that this law will open up new opportunities to support the younger
generation,” said Maulen Ashimbayev, Chairperson of the Senate, the Upper House
of the Kazakh Parliament.
