Sakura has blossomed in Almaty. Cherry trees have burst into
bloom in the city’s Botanical Garden. Residents and visitors of the metropolis are
rushing to see and admire this true wonder of nature, which blooms for only 10
days.
«Today is one of the last days of the blooming season, as it
is already coming to an end. That’s why the Japanese say the tree is as
beautiful and fleeting as life itself,» noted Svetlana Nabiyeva, senior
researcher of the Dendrology Laboratory at the Institute of Botany and
Phytointroduction.
Aflatunia, known as the Kazakh Sakura, captivates and attracts
beauty lovers. The flowering shrub is listed in Kazakhstan’s Red Book.
