Today marks the beginning of the state visit of Russian
President Vladimir Putin to Kazakhstan, at the invitation of President
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Ahead of the visit, the Russian socio-political
newspaper Izvestia published an article by President Tokayev. In the article,
the Kazakh President emphasizes that the relations between Kazakhstan and
Russia serve as a model of strong and unbreakable friendship. The strategic partnership
and alliance are based on close historical and cultural ties, as well as a
shared responsibility for the future of both peoples. Thanks to the efforts of
both governments and business representatives, trade and economic cooperation
is steadily gaining momentum. In 2023, Russian companies invested over $3
billion in Kazakhstan, and Kazakhstan invested the same amount in the Russian
economy. The article also highlights joint projects in various sectors. More
than 90 projects worth $18 billion have already been implemented, with another
49 currently in progress. According to the Head of State, a wide range of
issues will be discussed during the upcoming meeting with the President of
Russia.

billion. As of the first nine months of 2024, it has already exceeded $20
billion. According to Vladimir Putin, companies from both countries are implementing
a number of major joint projects. These efforts contribute to comprehensive
economic modernization and the strengthening of the technological sovereignty
of Russia and Kazakhstan. Vladimir Putin also noted that the state corporation
Rosatom possesses unique technologies and is ready for new large-scale projects
with Kazakhstan. In conclusion, Vladimir Putin emphasized that Russia is
committed to further developing its multifaceted relations of friendship and
alliance with Kazakhstan.
