Kazakhstan and the United States are set to expand cooperation, particularly, in air communications. The parties will be able to carry out flights with no restrictions, said Chairman of the Committee for Economic Reform and Regional Development of the Mazhilis Albert Rau during a plenary session of the Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament. He announced provisions of the new bill. The document provides for the principles of the open skies between the countries, as part of which the parties will be able to freely carry out bilateral flights, not being limited by the number of carriers, destinations and frequencies.
“The bill of Kazakhstan on the ratification of agreements between the Kazakh and the U.S. governments on air traffic will contribute to an increase of external transport accessibility and expansion of the geography of international air routes. Dear colleagues, the committee is ready to take this bill into work and prepare a conclusion on it,” said Albert Rau, member of Mazhilis, Lower House of Kazakh Parliament.
Kazakhstan and the U.S. signed the open skies agreement in January last year. The next step is the ratification of the document.
