The Presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan noted the strong momentum in
bilateral relations. During a telephone conversation, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and
Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed further strengthening cooperation and the
practical implementation of agreements reached during the meeting in Bukhara in
April. The two leaders emphasized the importance of maintaining active
engagement between the presidential administrations, governments, and relevant
agencies. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues and
reviewed the schedule of upcoming bilateral events.
