President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called Vietnam a key partner
of Kazakhstan in Southeast Asia. The Head of State held a meeting with Nguyen
Xuan Thang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the
Communist Party of Vietnam. President Tokayev emphasized that Kazakh-Vietnamese
relations are currently on an upward trajectory and that Kazakhstan remains
committed to further strengthening them. He also highlighted the importance of
intensifying inter-parliamentary cooperation. In turn, Nguyen Xuan Thang noted
that the Vietnamese side is actively working to implement the agreements
reached during President Tokayev’s visit to Vietnam last year. The Head of State
invited the President of Vietnam to visit Kazakhstan in 2025 and participate in
the Astana International Forum.
