Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Pamela
Harris, President of the International Association for Court Administration
(IACA). During a meeting at the Akorda Presidential Palace, Harris informed
Tokayev that IACA is committed to strengthening its ties with Kazakhstan. The
parties paid special attention to expanding cooperation between judicial
bodies, as well as the prospects for applying digital solutions and artificial
intelligence in judicial proceedings. The conversation also addressed judicial
system reform. Harris highly commended the legal reforms being implemented in
Kazakhstan, noting that the separation of functions between the Judicial
Administration and the Supreme Court is one of the most effective solutions in
global practice. The Head of State emphasized that ensuring the rule of law and
reforming the judicial system play a pivotal role in building a law-governed
state.
«Here in Kazakhstan, we are pursuing extremely important
reforms enforcing law and order. We believe that the rule of law must be a part
of our life. I believe that it’s also very much important in terms of making
our country stable and prospering. I am very much hopeful that you will be
continuously working with Kazakhstan, with our administration,» Tokayev said.
