Today, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev
and CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov discussed such objectives as
focusing on the statutory areas of the CSTO’s activities, with particular emphasis
on addressing pressing and common threats faced by all member states, such as terrorism,
illicit drug and arms trafficking, and cybercrime. The meeting covered the issues
regarding the implementation of the Organization’s key tasks during Kazakhstan’s
presidency. Tasmagambetov informed the Head of State on the progress in executing the
action plan adopted at the country’s initiative.
