The prospects for trade and investment cooperation
between Astana and Bern, as well as the development of comprehensive
engagement, were discussed today at the Akorda presidential palace by President
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and members of the Switzerland–Kazakhstan Parliamentary
Friendship Group. The Head of State emphasized that Kazakhstan attaches great
importance to its long-standing relations with Switzerland, noting that the
country is a reliable partner of Kazakhstan in Europe. He added that the visit
of the Swiss parliamentary delegation reaffirms the mutual commitment to
expanding cooperation. In turn, Filippo Lombardi, coordinator of the
Parliamentary Friendship Group, highlighted the Swiss side’s interest in
advancing joint initiatives.
