President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is on his first official visit to Japan. He was welcomed at Tokyo International Airport by Ayano Kunimitsu, Japan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs. Today, the Head of State held talks with Emperor Naruhito. President Tokayev expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality and emphasized that Kazakhstan and Japan are bound by long-standing friendly relations based on mutual respect and fruitful cooperation across various fields. Emperor Naruhito, in turn, expressed confidence that President Tokayev’s visit would become a significant milestone in Kazakhstan-Japan relations and elevate bilateral ties to a qualitatively new level.
