Today, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received
Francoise Joly, Congolese President’s personal representative for international
affairs. At the Akorda Presidential Palace, the parties discussed issues regarding
the upcoming visit of Congolese President Denis Sassou Nguesso to Kazakhstan,
as well as promising areas of bilateral cooperation. The Head of State noted that
he views the visit as a sign of genuine interest in developing mutually beneficial
relations between the two countries, which are celebrating the 25th anniversary
of diplomatic ties this year. President Tokayev particularly stressed Kazakhstan’s
readiness to strengthen its contacts with Congo.
