Tokayev received governor of the North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov,
who reported on the socio-economic development of the region. Currently, 39
investment projects worth 469 billion tenge are underway in the industrial
sector, with 15 of them set to be introduced this year. As for the agricultural
sector, there are plans to implement 27 projects worth 80 billion tenge. Specifically,
the construction of 13 dairy farms is underway, with six of them scheduled to
be launched by year-end. The new projects aim to meet the region’s demand for
poultry meat, dairy products, and vegetables. Nurmukhambetov also noted that
the region’s farmers harvested 3.7 million tonnes of grain this year.
“Positive trends in key
socio-economic indicators in the North Kazakhstan region continue. The volume
of investments in fixed assets increased by 20 percent. Additionally, growth
rates were observed in the construction industry, housing commissioning, and
industrial sector,” Nurmukhambetov said.
