The Chairman of the Financial Monitoring AgencyZhanat Elimanov informed President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about the implementation of the comprehensive plan to combat the shadow economy. Elimanov presented a report on aligning the national system for combating money laundering with the recommendations of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). Askhat Zhumagali, the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Agency, reported on measures to combat corruption, noting that since 2022, the Agency has ensured the return of property assets and funds to the state and quasi-public sector entities amounting to 1.09 trillion tenge. Additionally, the Education Infrastructure Support Fund received over 153 billion tenge. This year, at the Agency’s initiative, digital solutions aimed at automating budget processes and integrating the Treasury system with the accounting systems of educational organizations have been implemented.
