On August 1, Kazakhstan will launch a national agricultural
census. It will last for two and a half months, until October 20, and will provide
an objective and comprehensive assessment of the sector to develop more
effective government support measures in the future. Preparations for the
campaign were discussed in the government. Last year, the country conducted a
pilot agricultural census, covering 54 settlements. Over 45,000 respondents
participated in the project, which integrated administrative data from the
Ministry’s information systems on livestock identification and equipment
registration.
