Pre-ferry station and grain terminal to be built in Kuryk port

A pre-ferry sorting station and a terminal for transshipment of grain and oilseeds are planned to be built in the Kuryk port. According to the Ministry of Industry, transport infrastructure facilities at the Caspian Sea will increase the port’s throughput capacity in the direction of Iran and the Caucasus region. The Sarzha multifunctional marine terminal, which is also under construction in the Kuryk port, is expected to allow transshipping additional volumes of domestic and transit cargo. The Aktau Sea Port will be modified as well, with creating a container hub, restoring oil-loading terminals and upgrading the fleet of reloading equipment.
