Kazakh enterprises
manufactured products worth over 13.5 trillion tenge in seven months of this
year, representing an increase of 30 percent compared with the same period in
2022. Overall, the number of small and medium-sized businesses in the country
has increased to 2,031,000 over the year. The development of entrepreneurial
activity in Kazakhstan is facilitated by measures of both financial and
non-financial support. According to the Ministry of National Economy, 95,000
business projects have been subsidized, and over 57,000 loans to entrepreneurs
have been guaranteed since the launch of the Economy of Simple Things and
Business Roadmap 2025 state programs in the country. In addition, short-term
loans were issued for the development of 38,000 business initiatives. In
general, domestic entrepreneurs have received over 5,500 non-repayable grants
since 2012.
“The programs put in place allowed to create over 120,000 new jobs, replenish the budget with around 3.4 trillion tenge worth of taxes and make products valued at over 53 trillion tenge. I would like to note that the above-mentioned measures of financial and non-financial support are being improved and expanded. The ministry is currently working on revising the maximum loan amount, the list of priority sectors of the economy, the sum of guarantees and other issues,” said Nurbol Zhanabekov, spokesperson for the Kazakh Ministry of National Economy.
